42.195

Ouch!

I am hurting so badly now, my quads, hamstring, calves, ankles, feet, abs, obliques, back, and the sunburn! 42.195km is such a torture, primarily because we didn't train due to the A levels. And also, James and I didn't sleep the night before, all thanks to watching Coach Carter on my computer.

Felt like giving up at about 38km mark, but well, luckily there were some fellow Millennians pushing me on. Finished the race eventually, after nearly 8 hours (and walking about half the journey) but damn, it wasn't satisfying like it did last year when I finished my 21km half marathon. Walked a lot, and the first thing that came to my mind the instance I cross the finishing line was, well, to sit down.

I seriously think I ran very slowly because firstly, not much people were behind me, secondly all the Powergels, bananas were finished, and thirdly the massage tent was closed too. So you can imagine, I was totally famished after the run, and there was no food, totally tired and there was no massage. Argh.

Limped my way to the medal and finisher tee collection booth to collect my "consolation prize" and then headed off home with James.

Think I'm so gonna sleep the whole day.
